We will only be conducting essential business and will not have Public Comment during this meeting.

On Tuesday, March 17, 2020 the Wayne Township Board of Trustees gave authorization to take necessary actions to protect the public health and the health and safety of our staff.

To address the emergency effective at the close of business today, the following measures will be taken by the Township.

Administrations Building 6050 N. Clarksville Road: will NOT be open to the public.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Wayne Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Wayne Twp. Administration Building, 6050 N. Clarksville Rd., Waynesville, OH, to consider an application filed by Chris Cadwallder, 3119 St. Rt. 73. (PID: 0513300001). The applicant seeks a major change to a previously approved site plan per §1.304.9(B) of the Wayne Township Zoning Code, requiring approval from the Township Trustees in the B-2 zone. Information is on file and available for public inspection at the Wayne Twp. Office of the Zoning Inspector.

Wayne Township Zoning Commission will hold a special Zoning Meeting on Thursday, March 12th @ 7:00 pm. The intent of this meeting is for the Zoning Commission to review the purpose and content of the VT-PUD section of the Wayne Township Zonning Code.

"This meeting will be focused on, and limited to the history of the VT PUD regulations.  The Zoning Commission will follow an agenda/ format based on the history of the regulations.  Future Zoning Commission meetings will focus on other aspects of the VT PUD."

This meeting is open to the public.

Board of Trustee's Close-out meeting for the year has been moved to Monday, December 30th @ 11:00 a.m.

Contract has been awarded to W. G. Stang for ditching and road re-surfacing.

Construction to begin the week of October 21st.

Locating utilities and removal of marked trees.

 

Week of Oct. 28th: 

Start replacing driveway culverts on west side of roadway beginning ar SR-73.

Nov. 4th: Ditching and first cross-over pipe.

Nov. 11th: Finish driveway culverts on West side and start on East side.

Nov. 18th: Finish remainder of driveway pipes and start shaping ditches.

Dec. 16th: All work completed until spring. 

Street repaved in the spring.

RE:       Corwin Road - Road Closure.    UPDATE: 9/20/2019  ROAD NOW OPEN

 

Corwin Road to be closed for eight weeks for a bridge rehabilitation project.

                                                                                                                                                

Lebanon, Ohio – Wayne Township, Warren County, Ohio – Corwin Road, located between Oregonia Road and Gard Road, will be closed beginning Monday, August 12, 2019, through October 4, 2019, weather permitting.  The closure is for the rehabilitation of bridge #47-2.25, which is being constructed by the Warren County Engineer’s Office Highway Department and John R. Jurgensen Company. 

The detour will utilize Middletown Road to Waynesville Road to US42 to SR73 to Clarksville Road to Oregonia Road.

Did you know that temporary and/or portable signs are prohibited in the public right-of-way?  

Yard sale signs, team sign-up signs, event announcements...etc. are all prohibited in the public-right-of way. These signs can obscure the vision of motorists and motorcyclists leading to unsafe driving conditions and create challenges for the Local, County and State crews that maintain the rights-of-way, or areas along our road ways. 

 

Signs may be displayed on private property, outside the right-of-way, with the permission of the property owner. Limit of 1 per 20 feet of roadway per section 3.407.6 of the Wayne Township Zoning Code and Wayne Township Board of Trustees Resolution 2017-36. No permit or fee is needed if they are under 4 sq. ft. in area and less than 4 ft. tall.

 

Larger signs need to be located at least 10' outside of the right-of-way and are limited to 24 sq. ft. 

 

Signs will be collected on a regular basis and held for at least 1 week at the Wayne Township Administration Building at 6050 N. Clarksville Rd.
